Cycling Adventure to Nahargarh Fort: A Sunrise Ride
Set off on an exciting cycling trip to Nahargarh Fort, where you can enjoy Jaipur's rich heritage and breathtaking panoramic views at sunrise.

“You have nothing to lose and a pink city to see,” said Ari, prodding the hot Kachoris between us with a smirk across her face. Looking at my dear friend’s infectious enthusiasm across the table, I knew it would be burdensome to go back home without her long-awaited guided tour through her hometown.
Travelling has always been my therapy. However, visiting an old acquaintance in their hometown and seeing the city through their eyes is like viewing a city through tinted glass. Except for this time, that glass was going to be gloriously pink in colour.
At the crack of dawn, on a commitment to catch the best sunrise of Jaipur, we fastened our helmets and pedalled onto the cobbled roads leading us to Nahargarh.
With a mellow morning breeze on our faces, we pedalled through the city's lush greenery, lively alleys, and beautiful vistas of heritage sites all while dodging camels, elephants and rickshaws.
The ride up to the Nahargarh fort is for a fact demanding, but not unrelieved.
The narrow winding road is tediously inclined, although the Aravallis and its lake scapes lure you in silence. Several compact, tamp tea stalls deployed, fueled us up for the now fast-approaching rocky terrain.

Nahargarh Fort, standing atop Cheel ka Teela, was built alongside its neighbours (Amer and Jaigarh Fort) to guard the city against invaders, still emanating a compelling presence as it overlooks Jaipur, providing the impression of an unwavering guard on duty.
As we approached the stonewalls cutting through the edges of the hills, the breathtaking sunrise tranquillizes the labour ones have put into pedalling above. The clamoring hustle and bustle of the city can be heard in the distance, while the sky lights up in stunning pink and gold hues and Jaipur's city glitters beneath.
In the end, it took me a glorious man-made structure that also happens to be seamlessly in unison with nature, nestled with illustrious heritage to realize the barrenness of a busy life. That thought leaves me in a brooding self-introspection but more urgently prompted me back towards the bike saddle.
