About the gig
As a Backend Engineer at Cityscope, you will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services that power the core platform workflows—from listings and bookings to creator onboarding, payments, and operational tooling. You will collaborate closely with product, frontend, and other engineers to translate requirements into reliable APIs and backend systems. The role includes owning services end to end: database schema design, API contracts, integrations, performance optimizations, monitoring, and production support. You’ll be expected to write clean, well-tested code and contribute to architectural decisions as the platform evolves. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy backend ownership, building real-world systems, and shipping scalable products that directly impact creators and users.
