Saluting the Strength and Love of Moms This Mother’s Day

A heartfelt tribute to the selfless love and sacrifices of mothers, celebrating their unwavering support and the profound impact they have on our lives.

Saluting the Strength and Love of Moms This Mother’s Day

Mothers serve an irreplaceable role in our lives. We have a lot to share when it comes to our Mother. They are our first love, no one can love us unconditionally like they do. The world agrees with this truth and has decided to celebrate a day, thanking her, cherishing her efforts, and making her feel special.

When you ask someone their fondest memory of their mother, some would say it is their mothers getting them ready for school, coming back from school, and searching for her whilst she is busy doing some chores, going to the kitchen, and carefully inspecting what’s she had cooked for lunch, having lunch while updating her about what happened in school, having that evening chai with her, going out together to get vegetables with her and many more such memories.

If one could personify a color for the love that our mothers share with us, what would that colour be? When love personifies itself as someone who carried us for nine long months in her womb and the rest of her life in her heart, in an instant, the color becomes pink.

The color pink has many shades. When it is lighter - it is calm, serene, and selfless. And, as the hue gets stronger - it becomes protective, warm, and fierce.

Just like how there is a story behind everything, and in all stories, there is always a mother’s story - here is where yours begins. A mother loves you like no one and caresses you like the Sun providing warmth during chilly evenings. She protects you like a fierce lioness - ready to challenge anyone, even the king of the jungle when her cub is in danger.

When you think about a word that could define what she has been for you, one would find difficulty in finding a word that can do justice as she goes beyond all definitions of what man has ever thought of.

Unconditional is her love for her child. Motherhood changes her, every part of her. She starts living this life within her and when she sees her child for the first time, she joyously rises in love. Every child learns what love is from their mother, as when great poets endlessly talk about falling in love, she shows you every day how to rise in love. When one rises in love, there are no expectations, as you intend only on giving.

She becomes the clouds that nestle rain till it is time for it to leave in search of its destiny. She becomes the root that holds the plant strongly to its ground and nourishes it, as only a plant with stronger roots can withstand greater storms.

Her love knows no languages. She became the translator for the world deciphering from babble when an infant and later understanding the words unspoken from the eyes of her loved child.

When the world does not understand what you are trying to say, she would understand and always hear you. But as time passes, fear that she might not understand what you trying to say makes you want not to share. Ohh, how could you forget she understood you even before she saw you from your little kicks while you were growing within her?

The reflexes in an infant grip tightly her finger holding it tight, so tight that it becomes difficult to let her go from the grip. Time fades and the little finger that has now grown to its full, no more holds it as tight as it used to, but this time she chooses to hold the finger so tight and keep that love forever in her heart alive for her little one.

The time you left home for school her cheeks experienced tears of separation for the first time, no matter how short it was. Little, did the child know, every time you would leave her cheeks would be wet with tears overflowing to her chin and then to your shoulder when she tightly hugs you and reminds you to take care of your health and have food on time. All she asks you is to take care of yourself and do nothing but be fine.

Her love is so deep as the ocean that one might have a few thousand people who love them and care for them yet, every time you fall sick, you are reminded of her and how she would have hugged you tightly and made you feel safe. She covers you in her warmth which reminds you of the time you crawled inside her womb for nine months.

When the world stands on the other side and counts the imperfections in you, she will stay beside you and say that what others call imperfections are the ones that make you and you are not different from them, its just you are special and uniquely you.

There are not enough words to describe what mothers mean, and not enough to thank her. They say it right, no big mansions or luxurious gifts could ever replace those little things one can do for their mother. Cause all they ask for is your time.

No matter, how big you grow, they still crave for the two-year-old, who would endlessly talk, look into her eyes in silence, who would be her evening chai companion, and with whom she takes long walks and dreadful silences. The time you share with her and the memories you make with her are the biggest gifts you could give her.
