# Jaipur Filmmaker Nidhi Saxena’s Film to Premiere at Venice Film Festival

Jaipur-based filmmaker Nidhi Saxena’s film, Secrets of Mountain Serpent, will have its world premiere on August 27 at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival. A Biennale College Cinema 2025 winner, the film marks a rare achievement for India, as an Indian film returns to this category after nearly a decade. Out of hundreds of global entries, only four films receive a production grant - Nidhi’s film secured €200,000 (₹1.8 crore) in funding. Source: DB
