At 71 years old, Dr. Kirodi Lal Meena has been nominated by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to represent Sawai Madhopur (92). The Honorable Dr. Kirodi Lal Meena, a diligent member of the Rajya Sabha from the BJP, is renowned for his unwavering attendance record and active participation in parliamentary proceedings. He has maintained a consistent record of 100% attendance in Rajya Sabha sessions and is now the BJP's nominated candidate for Sawai Madhopur in the upcoming Rajasthan assembly elections. However, he has faced criticism due to the seven criminal cases registered against him.

Previously, Dr. Meena served as an MLA from the Lalsot constituency, representing the National People's Party from 2013 to 2018. His tenure reflects his dedication to addressing his constituents' concerns and the broader development challenges in Rajasthan. Dr. Meena continues to advocate for progressive policies and robust infrastructural development in his home state. During his tenure as an MLA, he actively participated in the Rajasthan Assembly, raising 145 questions on various issues. In addition to his political work, he has an impressive background as a medical professional and is a self-professed agriculturist, raising key issues that affect agrarian communities and the overall energy distribution in Lalsot and surrounding areas.

Energy: He inquired of the Energy Minister what actions are being taken by the government to claim the state's entitlement from hydroelectric projects such as the Anandpur Sahib Hydroelectric Project, the Mukerian Pan Project, the Thein Dam Project, the Shahpur Kandi Project, etc., in accordance with the agreement of 1984.
Agricultural Marketing: In the realm of agriculture, he questioned the Minister of Agricultural Marketing about the amount of funds that have been allocated for the construction of rural roads in the agricultural produce markets of Mandawar and Lalsot, in the district of Dausa.
